Yes, and it stays free. The Always Free plan has no monthly fee, no credit card and no trial clock: unlimited quotes, invoices and checkouts. Chronly charges you nothing to send them. If you choose to accept card payments online, the card networks charge their standard processing rate on that payment. That fee is theirs, not ours.
Processing fees are charged by the card networks and only apply when you take a payment online. Chronly adds nothing to them. On the free plan, card payments are 2.9% + $0.30 and bank transfers are 1% (with a $1 minimum). On a Seller or Pro subscription you get preferential rates: 2.79% + $0.15 per card transaction and 1% bank transfer with a $1 minimum, capped at $5. That's the same as, or better than, Stripe, Square, and Moneris, with no markup on card fees.
Paid plans are entirely optional. Everything core stays on the free plan. Seller ($9.99 CAD/mo) unlocks preferential rates, recurring invoices, webhooks, email support, 1 connected bank with automatic sync, and up to 3 users. Pro ($49.99 CAD/mo) adds scheduling for visits and crew, full job management, priority support, up to 5 connected banks with automatic sync, and up to 5 users.
Banking is on every plan, including Free — what changes is how much of it. On any plan you can add bank accounts by hand, enter transactions, categorise them and upload receipts.

A connection is one bank, not one account: link a bank once and every chequing, savings and card account behind that login comes with it, and you can add more from the same bank later at no cost to your allowance. Receipts you forward to your Chronly inbox address do not count against the monthly upload allowance.
No. AI is an add-on, not a plan — every Chronly plan works exactly the same with it switched off, and off is where it starts. Leave the toggle off and Chronly never sends your data to an AI model: no prompts, no suggestions, no charge.
Switching it on does not switch everything on either. Every AI feature has its own switch, and new ones arrive switched off, so nothing changes until you say so.
Nothing right now. AI is in beta and free for everyone, on every plan including the free one.
When the beta ends it becomes a paid add-on at approximately $10 CAD a month per company — one price for the whole company, not per user. We say approximately because the final price depends on what the AI models themselves cost us, so it may land slightly above or below that. Turning the add-on off changes nothing else about your plan.
Every account gets 30 days of AI free, and there is no card up front. Turn the add-on on in your settings and the trial starts right there.
You are only asked for a payment method if you have already used your trial and are turning AI back on — then you pick a saved card or add one. Either way it is free for everyone while AI is in beta.
Yes. Switch the toggle above to Annual and you save 15% on the Seller and Pro plans, billed once a year instead of every month. You can start on either cadence, and the free plan is free either way.
