One invoice, start to finish

Bill the work and watch the money arrive

Every invoice keeps its own record: where it came from, what terms it carries, when it was opened, what has been paid against it and when the payout lands. This is one invoice's life, in order.

  • Paid on a linkNo login and no account for your customer — card, wallet or bank transfer from their phone.
  • Recurring schedulesThe invoices you send every month generate and send themselves, on the day and time you set.
  • Partial payments trackedRecord cash, cheques and e-transfers and Chronly keeps the running balance.
  • Terms and due datesOn receipt through Net 90, calculated for you and shown to the customer.

Recurring invoices: write it once, bill it forever

A recurring invoice is a template with a schedule attached. Chronly generates each invoice on the day and time you chose, emails it to everyone who should get it, and takes the payment on the same kind of link as any other invoice. Retainers, maintenance contracts, monthly service, seasonal work — set the schedule and stop remembering.

  • Daily, weekly, monthly or yearlyPick the day of the week, the day of the month — including first or last — or a month and day for annual billing.
  • Your time of day, your timezoneSet the hour it goes out and the timezone it is measured in, so invoices land at 9am local rather than whenever a server felt like it.
  • More than one recipientSend each invoice to your customer and to their bookkeeper or accounts payable inbox at the same time.
  • Every generated invoice is realEach one is its own invoice with its own number, tracking and payment link, tagged as coming from the recurring series.
  • Draft until you activate itThe template sits as a draft while you set it up. Give it a schedule to make it active and start generating.
  • Cancel any timeCancelling the schedule stops all future invoices and returns the template to draft. Invoices it already created stay untouched.

Recurring invoices sit on their own tab in the invoice list, separate from one-off invoices, and are available on the Seller and Pro plans.

What you get

Everything invoicing needs, and nothing you have to work around

  • Recurring invoices

Write the invoice once, attach a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly schedule, and Chronly generates and emails each one on time without you.

  • Straight from a quote

Convert an accepted quote in one action. Customer, lines, discount, taxes and any deposit paid carry across, with the balance left to collect.

  • Link a saved product

Choose from your products and the description, price and tax rates come with it. Change the quantity and the line is done.

  • Or type a free-form line

Work specific to this job gets typed straight onto the invoice — no need to create a product for something you bill once.

  • Discounts and taxes handled

Discount codes or a straight percentage off, with GST/HST and provincial rates calculating per line and a tax summary the customer can see.

  • Terms and due dates

On receipt, or Net 7 through Net 90. Chronly works out the due date and puts it in front of the customer.

  • Paid on a link

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer at 2.79% + $0.15 per card transaction, with no login and no account for your customer.

  • Partial payments

Record cash, cheques and e-transfers against an invoice and Chronly tracks what is left, so part-paid never reads as unpaid.

  • You know if they read it

Emails sent, opens, clicks and page views sit on the invoice with a timeline of every event — useful before a follow-up call.

  • Your logo and colours

Every invoice, payment page and receipt carries your branding and your company details, not ours.

  • Receipts sent for you

The moment an invoice is paid the receipt goes out on its own, with the payment recorded against the invoice.

  • A list you can actually work

Filter by draft, sent, part-paid, paid or overdue, with recurring templates on their own tab away from one-off invoices.

Questions

Invoicing in Chronly

Can Chronly send invoices automatically on a schedule?

Yes. A recurring invoice is a template with a schedule: daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, with a start date, an optional end date, and the time of day and timezone it should go out. Chronly generates and emails each invoice for you, and every one it creates is a real invoice you can track and take payment on.

Can I invoice more than one email address?

Yes. A recurring schedule takes a list of recipients, so the invoice can go to your customer and to their bookkeeper or accounts payable inbox at the same time.

How do my customers pay an invoice?

On a link, with no login and no account. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a bank transfer, at 2.79% + $0.15 per card transaction, and the receipt is emailed automatically.

Can I record a cheque or e-transfer against an invoice?

Yes. Record a cash, cheque or e-transfer payment manually and Chronly tracks the remaining balance, so a part-paid invoice shows what is still owed rather than sitting as unpaid.

What payment terms can I set?

On receipt, or Net 7 through Net 90. The due date is calculated for you and shown to the customer on the invoice. Recurring invoices are billed on receipt.

Do invoices carry my own branding?

Yes. Your logo and accent colour appear on every invoice, payment page and receipt. Invoice defaults let you preset terms and notes so each new invoice starts most of the way finished.

Can an invoice come from a quote?

Yes. Convert an accepted quote in one action and the customer, every line item, the discount, the taxes and any deposit already paid carry across. Nothing is re-typed.

Can I stop a recurring invoice?

Yes. Cancel the schedule and no further invoices are generated — the template drops back to draft, and the invoices it already created stay exactly as they are.
