Feature update

Bill 2.5 hours instead of rounding up, plus CSV product import

Bill partial quantities like 2.5 hours, import your price list by CSV, and control whether products show on your store.

If you bill by the hour, the square foot, or any other partial unit, you no longer have to round. This update adds unit-aware pricing to products, a faster way to build your price list, and a toggle for whether your products are listed on a public store.

Partial quantities on quotes and invoices

Each product can now be given a Unit, such as Hour, Day, Each, Foot, Square foot, or a custom label you type yourself. That unit now shows on quotes and invoices after the quantity, and the quantity field accepts decimals, so a product called Hourly Rate priced at $120 per hour can be entered as 2.5 and will show 2.5 hr and calculate $300.00 correctly instead of forcing you to enter 2 or 3.

A clearer product form

Opening Products and creating or editing a product now shows the fields grouped into Details, Pricing, Taxes, and Availability. You choose whether the product is Goods or a Service, set its Unit, and optionally turn on Track inventory to get low-stock alerts.

Import your price list from a CSV

Go to Products and open Import products to bring over a price list from QuickBooks, Jobber, or a spreadsheet, one CSV file at a time. You can download a template with every column Chronly reads, then map your file's columns to Chronly's fields and review everything before it saves.

You can also export your products if you ever want to take your price list elsewhere.

Decide whether your store is public

Products can now be listed on your public Online store, or kept off it if you only use them on quotes and invoices. In Settings, switch Show your online store on or off at any time. If your company does not have payments set up yet, the store starts off by default until you turn it on.

What this gets you

  1. Bill real partial quantities like 2.5 hours instead of rounding to whole units.
  2. Set up each product once with the right unit and type, using a clearer form.
  3. Move a whole price list in or out of Chronly with a CSV instead of entering products one by one.
  4. Control whether your products are visible on a public store, separate from how they're used on quotes and invoices.
