Feature update

Control more colours on your quotes and invoices

Style quotes and invoices with five separate colour settings and a Modern or Traditional layout, previewed live before you save.

Setting up how your quotes and invoices look now gives you more control over colour. Previously there were only two colour options, which meant some page elements could end up clashing. The updated branding screen gives you five colour settings, plus a choice between two document styles.

What's new

Instead of picking one or two colours, you can now set separate colours for the header band, section headings, card backgrounds, highlight tints and buttons. Each one updates the live preview on the right so you can see exactly how a real quote or invoice will look before you save anything.

You also get two document styles to choose from: Modern and Traditional. Quotes and invoices each keep their own brand settings, so you can style one differently from the other if you want.

How to use it

  1. Go to Settings and open the branding page.
  2. Under Preview as, choose whether you're styling a Quote or an Invoice — they're set independently.
  3. Under Document style, pick Modern or Traditional.
  4. Set your Brand colour for the header band and table headers, then set colours for Section heading colour, Card background, Highlight tint, and Button colour.
  5. Upload a logo if you haven't already, then check the live preview on the right.
  6. Click Save quote (or the equivalent save button for invoices) when it looks right.

What your customers see

Whichever style and colours you choose carry through to the documents your customers actually receive and view, like the quote below in the Modern style.

Upgrading existing branding

If you set up branding before this update, moving to the new five-colour design is optional. Your existing colours carry over, and you can adjust the new settings whenever you're ready — there's no need to redo your branding from scratch.
