Feature update

Ask every customer for a Google review automatically

Turn on automatic Google review requests after jobs and invoices, set a schedule, and track clicks in one dashboard.

Review Requests emails customers automatically after a job is finished or an invoice is paid, asking them to leave a Google review. You set it up once, and Chronly keeps asking new customers and leaves the ones who already clicked your link alone. This is available on the Pro tier.

Go to Settings and find Review Requests. Paste your Google review link into the field provided — you can get this from your Google Business Profile by choosing Ask for reviews and copying the link. This is required before you can turn requests on. Once it's in place, flip Send review requests on.

Choose what triggers a request

Under What triggers a request, you can turn on requests for A job is marked complete and An invoice is paid. Note that only invoices not attached to a job trigger a request on their own — when an invoice belongs to a job, completing the job is what sends it. Invoices from a recurring schedule never send a request. Google's rules don't allow asking only the customers you expect to be happy, so every customer who meets a trigger is asked the same way.

Set the schedule

In the Schedule section, choose how many days after the work is done the First request goes out, and whether to send Follow-ups (None, 1, or 2) if the customer hasn't clicked your link yet, with the Days between follow-ups you prefer. You can also set the hours and days of the week requests are allowed to send, and a minimum number of days before the same customer can be asked again — useful for customers with several jobs, so they aren't asked every time.

Pick how the emails are written

Under How requests are written, choose Standard template for a branded email with wording you set, or AI-assisted for a short personal note written in your voice for each customer. Both use the same schedule and the same Google link, and you can switch between them at any time without anyone being asked twice.

See what's working

The Reviews tab on your reports gives you Requests Sent, Customers Asked, Link Clicks and Click Rate over any date range, plus a chart of emails sent versus link clicks and a breakdown by trigger. A list of Recent Requests shows which jobs and invoices triggered a request, whether it was sent or skipped, and when the next one is scheduled. A click is the best sign a review was left — Google doesn't tell Chronly who actually posted one.

What this gets you

Once it's set up, asking for reviews stops being a thing you have to remember after every job. Chronly asks consistently, stops once someone clicks, and gives you a running count of how many reviews requests are turning into clicks.
